Liena grew up loving animals and knew that wherever her life took her, it would include them. Liena started at the BCSPCA Vancouver Animal Hospital working one day a week while working full time in a private clinic and in a restaurant at night. Eventually she got a full time position, taking six years out at one point to raise her 3 daughters. After returning to work, Liena enrolled in the TRU Distance Program and completed it over 3 years while working at the BCSPCA and now works there as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She loves being part of the team at the BCSPCA, the fast pace and variety of medical cases.

In her spare time, Liena enjoys hiking the North Shore Mountains, photography, skiing and spending time with her family. She has a black cat named Keith and Hunter, a Lab x Border Collie.
