Dr. Jackie McDowell

DVM

Dr. Jackie McDowell is from Ireland and qualified from University College Dublin in 2014. She worked in a small animal and equine practice in England and Ireland before moving across the pond to Canada in September 2017 to enjoy the outdoor life Vancouver has to offer. She has keen interests in soft tissue surgery and medicine, and enjoys building relationships with patients and clients alike.

In her free time, Jackie loves following her home rugby team, Leinster, and pursuing her own outdoor interests: cycling, hiking, skiing and swimming. She has a black labrador retriever, Duke, jack russell terrier, Doodles, and a tortoise shell kitty called Xena that she adopted while living in England. Sadly they didn’t come over with her to Vancouver, but remain in Ireland on her parents stud farm enjoying the easygoing countrylife.
