Michelle

RVT

Michelle’s journey with animals began in Newfoundland, where she was born. Once she completed her bachelor’s degree in biology, she pursued Veterinary Technology in Nova Scotia and moved to British Columbia with adventure in mind and a desire to help animals. Before moving to the west coast, she volunteered at a therapeutic horseback riding program for children and at her local SPCA for many years. Her animal experience does not stop with dogs, cats and horses; she has also cared for many types of pocket pets, birds, fish, and reptiles. Michelle also worked in a microbiology lab, a marine centre aquarium, and in research. The most exciting experience she acquired was her veterinary medical volunteer trip to Guatemala to help rehabilitate many species of exotic wildlife (including scarlet macaw parrots and spider monkeys)!

In her free time, Michelle is found hiking the mountains and exploring the city. Her evenings are mostly spent curled up with her cat, Kiwi, and watching a good Netflix Series.
